Happy Veggie Thanksgiving!

This year our family decided to have a cruelty free Thanksgiving!
This is my husbands first Thanksgiving as a vegetarian so I decided to get a Tofurky to make the transition a little easier.

We will be eating it tomorrow so I will let you know how it tastes, as well as the other vegetarian recipes we are making for our scrumptious feast.

My goal with having children is to be honest about where meat comes from and let them make their decision as to whether they want to be vegetarians or not (until the point they are able to decide they will be on a vegetarian diet.) I found a book that I am going to read to my little one called "That's Why We Don't Eat Animals" by Ruby Roth. It's a book that tells it like it is, that animals have feelings and families and that's why we shouldn't eat them.

I reccomend this book for anyone who is trying to raise a vegetarian family or anyone who doesn't want to lie about where meat comes from. The most upsetting part of my childhood was finding out where meat actually came from, which was also the same moment I became a vegetarian.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
